How many URLs can a sitemap contain?
A single sitemap file can contain up to 50,000 URLs and must not exceed 50MB uncompressed. For larger sites, create multiple sitemaps and link them with a sitemap index file.
What priority should I assign to my URLs?
Priority is relative to your own site. Set your homepage to 1.0, main category pages to 0.8, and individual posts/pages to 0.6. Note that Google has stated it largely ignores priority values in sitemaps.
